Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home. Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Picture paw-fect in every pose, brindle and white beauty, Berry, is even sweeter than his name suggests. Brimful of natural puppy energy, he loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home and hiking for several miles at a time with his foster mom. Quieter times mean sunbathing on the deck to catch the morning rays and chewing on bones and toys (shoes are his main delight and must be kept out of sight), luxuriating in the comfort of couches and sleeping close to his foster mom in bed at night. A relaxed passenger in the car, he stretches out calmly in the backseat, walks very well on a leash, and being eager to please and to earn the treats that he loves, is housetrained and at work on his basic commands, including “sit” and “off.” Now what sweet Berry needs is a loving home to educate him fully and keep him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.
Honeybell & Kady
Honeybell is a sweet, soft kitty girl with a ton of personality. She can be a bit aloof at first meeting, but reveals her friendly demeanour as soon as she feels at home. Honeybell has one crumpled ear which doesn’t bother her at all. In fact, we think it just makes her all that much cuter and unique!
Honeybell loves her sister, Kady. The two girls have been through so much together and thoroughly enjoy one another’s company. For this reason, we are adopting them out together. Both Kady and Honeybell get along with most other cats and love the dog in their foster home.
Honeybell’s crumpled ear was most likely a congenital birth defect or possibly an old injury. It is very easily managed with ear drops and occasional cleaning and doesn’t pose any problems for her.
Honeybell is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is being fostered with Kady in Westminster.
Each girl has mild special needs. When Kady came into rescue she suffered from triatitis. Her condition is fully controlled with medication, which she happily takes with treats. She requires periodic blood work to double check her medication is at an appropriate dose. Honeybell came to the rescue with a squished ear, most likely from an untreated injury. With ear drops and occasional cleaning, her ear issues are fully controlled.
