Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home. Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.
Welcome to Animal Rescue of the Rockies!
Have you ever been to an Animal Rescue of the Rockies adoption event???
You don’t know what you’re missing!
2018 was a great year for the animals of Animal Rescue of the Rockies!
Featured Rescues of the Week
Caramel and cream, cuddly and curious, frisky Finn may be the largest, most loving lap dog around! Happiest in the reassuring company of humans, she thrives on attention and pets and especially enjoys being told what a good dog she is. She also enjoys going for walks, doing very well on a leash, where, in surprise bursts of puppy like energy, she does the “bunny hop” when excited. And because she knows and obeys all of her commands, should she bark at a passing dog, she promptly stops when told. A great fan of treats, her favorite game when returning from a walk is finding out where they’re hidden and retrieving them. Fond of sunbathing in the summer, she’s also fond of sniffing the grass, nosing about here, there and everywhere just to see where it leads. Now she hopes her nose will lead to a loving home without children or other pets where she can live as the cuddliest of fur-ever companions.
Honeybell & Kady
Honeybell is a sweet, soft kitty girl with a ton of personality. She can be a bit aloof at first meeting, but reveals her friendly demeanour as soon as she feels at home. Honeybell has one crumpled ear which doesn’t bother her at all. In fact, we think it just makes her all that much cuter and unique!
Honeybell loves her sister, Kady. The two girls have been through so much together and thoroughly enjoy one another’s company. For this reason, we are adopting them out together. Both Kady and Honeybell get along with most other cats and love the dog in their foster home.
Honeybell’s crumpled ear was most likely a congenital birth defect or possibly an old injury. It is very easily managed with ear drops and occasional cleaning and doesn’t pose any problems for her.
Honeybell is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is being fostered with Kady in Westminster.
Each girl has mild special needs. When Kady came into rescue she suffered from triatitis. Her condition is fully controlled with medication, which she happily takes with treats. She requires periodic blood work to double check her medication is at an appropriate dose. Honeybell came to the rescue with a squished ear, most likely from an untreated injury. With ear drops and occasional cleaning, her ear issues are fully controlled.

www.countonkindness.global, created by Tara Cameron.
This new business registry connects all types of businesses (retail, corporate, restaurants, medical, theater, etc.) whose mission is kindness and compassion to all – clients, customers, and employees.
Every business that enrolls in the registry has a choice of causes to support, and Animal Rescue of the Rockies is listed as the animal charity that businesses can choose. ARR will receive a $100 donation for each business that chooses Animal Rescue of the Rockies by clicking on our logo on the “Choose a Cause” page.
