Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home. Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Featured Rescues of the Week
Color Cora curious! Eager to lap up every new experience in her bright new world, the 9-pound former stray is both innately sweet and supremely loving, gets along with other dogs and loves cuddling with her fosters as much as she can. Highly motivated by affection and treats (she loves pieces of hot dog and ham), she’s starting to learn her basic commands, walks calmly on leash and happily follows her nose as she explores the neighborhood. Content in her crate when she’s seeking some solitude and at work on her housetraining, Cora will thrive in a calm and patient home that will complete her doggy education, expand her horizons and keep her safe and well loved fur-ever.
Honeybell & Kady
Honeybell is a sweet, soft kitty girl with a ton of personality. She can be a bit aloof at first meeting, but reveals her friendly demeanour as soon as she feels at home. Honeybell has one crumpled ear which doesn’t bother her at all. In fact, we think it just makes her all that much cuter and unique!
Honeybell loves her sister, Kady. The two girls have been through so much together and thoroughly enjoy one another’s company. For this reason, we are adopting them out together. Both Kady and Honeybell get along with most other cats and love the dog in their foster home.
Honeybell’s crumpled ear was most likely a congenital birth defect or possibly an old injury. It is very easily managed with ear drops and occasional cleaning and doesn’t pose any problems for her.
Honeybell is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is being fostered with Kady in Westminster.
Each girl has mild special needs. When Kady came into rescue she suffered from triatitis. Her condition is fully controlled with medication, which she happily takes with treats. She requires periodic blood work to double check her medication is at an appropriate dose. Honeybell came to the rescue with a squished ear, most likely from an untreated injury. With ear drops and occasional cleaning, her ear issues are fully controlled.

We’re excited to announce that Animal Rescue of the Rockies is working with a new business website,
www.countonkindness.global, created by Tara Cameron.
This new business registry connects all types of businesses (retail, corporate, restaurants, medical, theater, etc.) whose mission is kindness and compassion to all – clients, customers, and employees.
Every business that enrolls in the registry has a choice of causes to support, and Animal Rescue of the Rockies is listed as the animal charity that businesses can choose. ARR will receive a $100 donation for each business that chooses Animal Rescue of the Rockies by clicking on our logo on the “Choose a Cause” page.
We hope those of you who own your own businesses will consider joining and participating in the rewards of being part of a like-minded compassionate business community. Fun prizes and treasure hunts are part of the perks, too!
