heart1Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home. Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Total Pets That Found Forever Homes in 2016!

Pets Available For Adoption as of April 20th

2016 was a great year for the animals of Animal Rescue of the Rockies!

Featured Rescues of the Month

Fondly dubbed a “pocket pit bull” due to her small size (she weighs a fit and fine 45 pounds), she’s the soul of sweetness and offers you the best of both doggy worlds. Energetic Zayde loves to go for walks and hikes, while easygoing Zayde loves to sunbathe and snooze. Although she gets along famously with felines, she’s somewhat selective about other canines, and does best when meeting them off leash in a fenced yard. Her idea of the ideal forever home is a calm and tranquil one, with few visitors, no children and no other dogs. Since she is a Pitbull, she can’t be adopted in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft. Lupton, Lone Tree or Louisville

Sable & Glory

Double your pleasure by adopting this purr-fect pair. Aptly named Glory and Sable because of their ebony beauty, they’re as sweet as sugar (without the calories) and twice as lovable. Despite being slightly shy at first blush, they adore affection, thrive on tummy rubs and TV with their foster family, and enjoy playing with catnip or a feather on a string. Now it’s their hope to find a calm and caring fur-ever home (without small children or other pets) with the patience to coax out their true kitty confidence in exchange for a double dose of their sweet kitty love.

They are spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, micro-chipped, and have tested negative for FIV/FeLV. As part of the “17 cats of 2017” campaign, the adoption fee for the pair is only $50. Being fostered in the Westminster area, please contact their foster mom at sdeubanks4@gmail.com for more information.
