heart1Working towards the day when every pet has a loving home. Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage quality relationships between pets and their people through behavior resources and training.

Birch AKA Ellie

Regal best describes Ellie’s pose, but there’s a gleam in her eyes and the start of a smile on her face. The 40-pound beauty, found as a stray in Texas, is learning the meaning of safety as she adjusts to her new life. Brimful of enthusiasm and energy, she’s happiest when active, and takes special delight in playing with rope toys. She also LOVES being with people, whether it’s sharing snuggles, having her belly rubbed, being bathed or riding in the car. Very treat motivated, she knows her “sit”, “come”, “stay” and “leave it” commands, remains calm in her kennel, and is well mannered when leaving it. Although new to the company of other dogs, the proper introductions quickly put her at ease! At work on her leash and housetraining, what bouncy Ellie needs now is to be the only pet in a patient and attentive home committed to completing her doggy education and to keeping her mentally stimulated and physically satisfied. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives! Adoption fee is $250 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
